Are you ready to take on a challenge that prepares you for the post-festive blues in January 2026? With anywhere from 5 to 7 weeks between your last payday in December, this challenge helps you build a safety net so you can stay financially strong and stress-free as you head into the new year.

How to Complete the Challenge:

First, choose whether you want to take on the Friday or Sunday version of the Jan Jar Challenge. Each version has slightly different savings totals, but both will help you get ready for January’s financial dip.

There are three different ways to approach this challenge, so you can tailor it to your budget and goals:

Option 1: Save the Amount on Each Date

• For this method, you save the same amount as the date of the week. For example:
  • 25th = Save 25
  • 31st = Save 31, and so on.

Option 2: Add the Date Numbers Together

• For this method, you add the digits of the date together to determine how much to save. For example:
  • 31st = 3 + 1 = 4 to save
  • 15th = 1 + 5 = 6 to save, and so on.

Option 3: Choose a Set Amount to Save Each Week

• For those who prefer to simplify the process, you can opt to save a fixed amount each week. This option is flexible, so you can choose a figure that works best for your budget.

Total Savings for the Challenge:

If you choose to save the amount on each date given, you will save the following:

• Jan Jar Friday Challenge: Save 841
• Jan Jar Sunday Challenge: Save 824

2. Tracker Only: If you prefer to use your own jar or container, you can just get the tracker.
